Wilmington College Indoor Track
Jenna Parlette was the epitome of the scholar-athlete at Wilmington College. Whether it was running, academics, service to others or being a caring friend, she approached each with a singular sense of integrity, perseverance and mission. A running center bearing her name would be an incredible legacy for Jenna but more importantly, would provide the running community in Southern Ohio a state-of-the-art performance arena where they may practice and compete.  Jenna’s commitment to service would be lived out by this addition to our campus.Jim Reynolds, President of Wilmington College

The Jenna Parlette Memorial Foundation exists to support endeavors that embody the definition of JennaStrong: Kindness, Competitiveness, Sense of Humor. The first project we are supporting falls under the category of competitiveness, as we seek to help fund an indoor track for Wilmington College and the community which could be connected to their new Center for Sport Sciences completed in 2015.

The center currently houses WC’s 21 sports teams as well as its nationally prominent athletic training program. The 17,400 square-foot sport training facility provides for an all-indoor, artificial turf playing surface, batting cages, three-lane sprint track, pole vault pit, long jump zone, and cutting edge weight and strength training area.

The award winning Center for Sports Sciences center is a great asset to the school, but does not currently include an indoor track large enough to host competitions. This addition would be of great benefit to both Wilmington College as well as the surrounding community, as no indoor competition tracks currently exist within a 70-mile radius of WC. The Jenna Parlette Memorial Foundation is seeking to raise funds in order to make this dream a reality. Those interested in supporting this project, financially or otherwise, should contact us.
