Jenna Parlette was the epitome of the scholar-athlete at Wilmington College. Whether it was running, academics, service to others or being a caring friend, she approached each with a singular sense of integrity, perseverance and mission. A running center bearing her name would be an incredible legacy for Jenna but more importantly, would provide the running community in Southern Ohio a state-of-the-art performance arena where they may practice and compete.  Jenna’s commitment to service would be lived out by this addition to our campus. Jim Reynolds, President of Wilmington College

Wilmington College is in the process of planning their new Center for Sport Sciences, expected to be completed by January 2015. The center will house WC’s 21 sports teams as well as its nationally prominent athletic training program. The 17,400 square-foot sport training facility will provide for an all-indoor, artificial turf playing surface, batting cages, three-lane sprint track, pole vault pit, long jump zone, and cutting edge weight and strength training area.

While the center is going to be a great asset to the school, the plans do not currently include an indoor track large enough to host competitions. This addition would be of great benefit to both Wilmington College as well as the surrounding community, as no indoor competition tracks currently exist within a 70-mile radius of WC. The Jenna Parlette Memorial Foundation is seeking to raise funds in order to make this dream a reality. Those interested in supporting this project, financially or otherwise, should contact us.
